Web Directions North 2008

Web Directions North is coming back to Vancouver, Canada for the second straight year! Last year I was fortunate enough to attend the conference and I really hope I can make it again this winter.
Haven’t heard of Web Directions before? Well, maybe you’ve heard of the “Web Essentials” conference series that started it all in Sydney, Australia? If not, that’s fine, but just so you know, there’s a lot of good history behind these conferences and they’re put on by some really great people.
Maxine, John, Dave and Derek are some of the nicest people I’ve met and really did an outstanding job with last year’s conference. I was pretty impressed by not only the conference itself, the speakers and events, but also with how smoothly everything ran last year. If you’re looking for some conferences to go to in 2008, trust me, Web Directions North should be at the top of your short list!
If you’ve never been to one of these types of conferences before, I can assure you that it will be worth your time. Last year’s WDN was my first real conference experience and I can’t begin to tell you how invaluable it’s been for me. The things you’ll learn, the inspiration you’ll get, the insight that will be shared and the relationships you’ll build are worth every bit of the investment that you or your company will make. Start bugging your bosses now and see if you can be a part of what will definitely be another awesome event! Also, if you’ve never been to Vancouver before… that city is reason enough to pick this conference over any other North American conference on the slate for 2008.
WDN2008 looks to build on the success of the 2007 edition and step it up another notch. They’ve already got some great speakers lined up and the 2 optional days of skiing and boarding (and you know… some of that “networking” stuff) at Whistler are back! So, if you already know you can make it to the conference on January 28 - February 2, 2008 then make sure you register early to get the best rate.
Oh, and once you’re ready to register, please tell them I sent you by using the register link above! ;)
